facebook NET Teams Start to Make a Mess MSC Vocations Ireland
NET Team

The NET Team, along with some of the MSC students, help with the youth programme in Knock for the Eucharistic Congress

During the Rio World Youth Day celebrations two years ago Pope Francis called for a new culture of evangelisation in our Church. He said that the greatest evangelisers of young people were other young people. He called them to go out, be courageous, spread the Good News and ‘make a mess.’ Sarah, one of the Cork NET team, tells us about the mess she has been making.

“Hello from the NET Team! We are so excited to be here! We are a group of five young adults that have come from four different countries, America, Canada, Australia, and Ireland to be a part of NET Ministries of Ireland. NET stands for National Evangelisation Teams. Our mission is to encourage young people to love Jesus and embrace the life of the Church.

NET Team Cork Youth Ministry

The NET Team gets everyone moving at the Congress

We are here in Cork City working with the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, the Dominicans at St. Mary’s Priory, and the Presentation Brothers until the end of May facilitating many different events to help accomplish this goal. Some of the things that we’ll be doing are running religion classes in the secondary schools, a parent and toddlers’ group that meets on Mondays from 10 am to 12 pm, a youth group that will be on Friday nights starting on October 23, monthly music sessions, and a children’s liturgy during the 10:00 Sunday Mass. Along with spreading the Good News, during our events we will probably sing songs, play high energy games, perform hilarious sketches, and speak about how God has made an impact on our personal lives.
